Your Data in Podcast Buddy

Who we are

Podcast Buddy is built by Beth Lyons. This is a beta product in early testing with invited users.

What we collect

• -Your email address (to log you in)
• -Podcast feeds you subscribe to
• -Transcript selections you save
• -AI conversations you have within the app

Where your data goes

• -Stored in a secure database hosted in the US (Neon Postgres on AWS)
• -Hosted on Vercel (US)
• -AI conversations are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use your conversations to train their AI models. Anthropic automatically deletes API data within 30 days.
• -Audio transcription is sent to AssemblyAI for processing. AssemblyAI does not use your audio data for any purpose other than providing the transcription.

What we don't do

• -Sell your data
• -Show you ads
• -Share your data with anyone besides the services listed above
• -Use your data to train AI models

How long we keep it

• -As long as your account exists
• -You can request deletion at any time (see below)

Your rights

• -You can ask to see what data we have about you
• -You can ask us to delete all your data — email podcastbuddyapp@gmail.com and we will delete it within 7 days
• -If we make significant changes to how we handle data, we will notify you
